Clinging Conifer

This modest-sized shrub grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 157 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several long and flexible, crooked stems covered in fine, knobbly, dark gray bark, and the wood inside is white with black speckles.

The branches are very short and thin that and are covered with large amounts of giant, perforated, leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are dark grey and olive, flexible and clammy.

It produces dozens of tiny, aquamarine flowers with finger-like petals. They are hardy and have an overpowering scent that smells like burning wood. In late summer it forms medium-sizedbright red, shelled seeds.
