Emerald Flame Moss

This gray moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In bogs, In rainforests, and In moorlands.
It is large, growing up to 8 inches (20 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps, and is very robust.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release millions of spores.

It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It grows well in the sun and full shade.
It spreads easily and often blanket large areas.
