Ember Moss

This orange moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In damp forests.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is extremely sturdy; it can easily endure flooding and draughts.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release thousands of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
