Copperleaf

Shrub type: Deciduous (Evergreen - keeps its leaves all year round)

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 48 years. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has several very thick, straight stems covered in delicate, wrinkled, white with black speckled bark, and the wood inside is brown.

The branches trail down towards the ground with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with small amounts of giant, wispy, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are copper on the edges and pink at the center, light and frail and soft.

It produces several small, yellow flowers with finger-like petals. They are very delicate and have a delicate scent that smells like sweat. In early summer it forms giantblood red, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.


It coexists peacefully with other plants.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
