Coppervine
Flower type: Perennial (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This small flower grows up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. Its bronze stem is thin and splits into several branching stems halfway up, and the giant, red leaves are dark brown on the underside and are spear shaped with toothed edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.
Each stem splits 6 to 11 times; a single tiny flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with copper petals and a crimson central disk. The flower head is shaped like a bowl with 41 tightly layered, narrow petals. They are hardy.
It has an intensely strong scent that smells like lavender, and it has excessive amounts of pollen,but it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.
