Aquamarine Peach

This small fruit tree grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall and lives for up to 30 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 49 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a wide, straight trunk covered in paper-thin, smooth, brown bark, and inside, the dense wood is pale brown-grey.

The branches are short stubs and are covered with very large amounts of small, pleated leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are generally aquamarine.

In early spring, it produces thousands of giant, peach blossoms with slender, pointed petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are sturdy and have a strong scent that smells like bleach.

In mid-autumn it produces tiny, triangular fruit. The fuzzy turquoise skin is thin and inedible, and the slightly crunchy magenta flesh is sweet and spicy and very dry. The beige seed is very large and sits at the top of the fruit.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with grassy ground between them.
