Burgundy Flame Moss

This burgundy moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In damp forests.
It is big, growing up to 9 inches (23 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is overwhelmingly flexible.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release dozens of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
