Coniapple

Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This huge fruit tree grows up to 50 feet (15.2 meters) tall and lives for up to 15 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 28 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a knobbly, straight trunk covered in fine, knobbly, burgundy and brown bark, and inside, the flexible wood is mahogany-coloured.

The sparse amount of branches are short, thin and wispy and are covered with very large amounts of miniature, circular leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are either peach, or turquoise with light green splotches.

In early spring, it produces lots of large, grey blossoms with many layers of petals. They are very delicate and have an intensely strong scent that smells like lemon.

In early autumn it produces , oval fruit. The fuzzy cyan skin is tough and inedible, and the very soft turquoise flesh is sour and dry. The bright yellow seed is tiny and is in the centre of the fruit.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.
