Copper Moorland Moss

This copper moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In moorlands.
It is small, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is extremely resilient; it is very difficult to kill.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release hundred of spores.
