Crimson Puffgrass

This short, gray-green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The very narrow and elongated stalks grow in thick clumps that are resilient and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, crimson puff.

During the mid-summer, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a modest amount of small grains.
