Blue Crescent Moss

This blue moss is commonly found growing in small clumps On rotten logs, In moorlands, and In marshes.
It is huge, growing up to 1.3 feet (38 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches, and is overwhelmingly hardy; it can easily endure being trodden on.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release thousands of spores.
