Blueleaf Applebush

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This colossal shrub grows up to 10 feet (3.0 meters) tall and lives for around 54 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous long and flexible, straight stems covered in very thick, waxy, brown bark, and the wood inside is burgundy-brown.

The branches are short, rigid and upright with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of tiny, circular, leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are solid blue with cream lines, rigid and covered in fine hairs.

It produces thousands of medium-sized, brown flowers with kidney-shaped shaped petals. They are sturdy and have a mildly strong scent that smells like apple. In late autumn it forms medium-sizedlime, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.
