Blueberry Olive Tree

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This huge fruit tree grows up to 71 feet (21.6 meters) tall and lives for up to 30 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 56 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a narrow, straight trunk covered in thin, silky, dark brown bark, and inside, the light wood is pine-coloured.

The abundance of branches are very short and thin and are covered with small amounts of small, long, narrow leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are green with black tips.

In early spring, it produces balls of giant, gentle blue blossoms with needle-like petals. They are hardy and have a weak scent that smells like perfume.

In early summer it produces , spiral-shaped fruit. The smooth blue skin is thin and inedible, and the crunchy black flesh is bitter and oily. The olive seeds are large and are located in the centre of the fruit.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.

It can flourish even in standing water.
It is suitable for making paper
