Emerald Clump Moss

This gray moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps On trees, In moorlands, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is slightly durable.
When mature, emerald kidney-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release dozens of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
