Clinging Vinefruit

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This huge fruit tree grows up to 49 feet (14.9 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 47 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a flexible, slanted trunk covered in delicate, ridged, black bark, and inside, the hard wood is dark brown.

The abundance of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with thick bunches of tiny, finger-like leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are blue and lime.

In early spring, it produces copious amounts of small, caramel blossoms with 9 circular shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a soft scent that smells like skunk spray.

In mid-summer it produces tiny, needle-like fruit. The sticky muted blue skin is thick and inedible, and the very soft crimson flesh is bitter and very juicy. The faded yellow seeds are large and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.

It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
Before maturity, it can grow 0 per day.
