Clinging Mahoganyfern

This average-sized shrub grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall and lives for around 11 years. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has several knobbly, wavy stems covered in hard, waxy, mahogany-coloured bark, and the wood inside is pale brown.

The branches are long and thin that and are covered with large amounts of tiny, perforated, leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are hazel at the bottom and pink with bold blue dots at the top, light and smooth.

It produces copious amounts of small, blue flowers with many layers of petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have a weak scent that smells like candle wax. In early summer it forms medium-sizedwhite berries.
