Caramella Cactus

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This short cactus grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall. The narrow stem is gray, and is covered in brittle beige spines. The tear-shaped body is orange, and is covered in sharp spines.

It is very fast growing, taking 2 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with gold petals and a yellow center grows at the top, reappearing once every 9 years. The flower head is made up of 56 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight trumpet. It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like a newborn baby.

The cactus's skin is tough, the light brown flesh is waxy, and the caramel sap is thin and causes vomiting if consumed.
