Crimson Spore Moss

This pink-red moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas In rainforests, and In bogs.
It is small, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches, and is slightly rigid.
When mature, emerald cylindrical capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release thousands of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
