Bloodvine

This average-sized leaf succulent grows up to 50 feet (15.2 meters) tall. The wispy stem is gray-green and silver, and is dotted with small cream spines. The smooth-edged, broad, flat leaves are found in intense green, magenta and light brown varieties. Thick bunches of them grow from the base in alternating layers of 3, then 6, then 9, and so on. The leaves are fairly frail, and take little effort to detach.

It is slow growing, taking 20 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with solid cyan petals decorated with bronze dots and a violet central disk grow at the top, reappearing once every 5 years. The flower head is made up of 8 petals in raised layers. It has the faintest scent that smells like vomit.

The leaf succulent's skin is thick, the black flesh is smooth, and the blood red sap is thin.
