Burgundy Spiral Moss

This burgundy moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas In heathlands.
It is average-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is overwhelmingly durable.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release thousands of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
