Copper Spire Cactus

This small cactus grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall. It splits partway up the body to form 5 thin stems. Each stem is copper, and is covered in hundreds of rigid black spines. The cuboid body is gray-green, and is covered in dozens of rigid blood red spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 16 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are crimson at the sides and red at the center grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of handfuls of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight cube. It has a powerful scent that smells like old books.

The cactus's skin is tough, the lilac flesh is slimy, and the lilac sap is thin.
