Crimson Spinesucculent

This short caudiciform grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall. The wide stem is yellow-green, and is covered in sharp spines. The bulbous, crimson trunk can grow to as much as 12 feet (3.7 meters) in diameter. Its bold green or azure branches are very short and thin.

The tattered-edged, very narrow and elongated leaves are generally amber. They are hardy, and take some effort to detach.

It is fast growing, taking 2 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are green at the sides and beige at the center grows at the top, reappearing once every 2 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 57 curved petals. It has a powerful scent that smells like vanilla.

The caudiciform's skin is nearly impenetrable, the cyan flesh is soft, and the pink sap is thin.
