Aquamarine Splitcactus

This short cactus grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall. It splits partway up the body to form 6 very narrow, elongated stems. Each stem is pink-red, and is covered in sharp spines. The wedge-shaped body is red, and is covered in thousands of flexible lilac spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 4 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with each petal a slightly different shade of aquamarine grow at the top, reappearing once every 3 years. The flower head is made up of 10 petals in raised layers. It has the faintest scent that smells like wet dog.

The cactus's skin is rock-hard, the subtle blue flesh is rubbery, and the dull green sap is thin.
