Bloodspine Cactus

This large cactus grows up to 88 feet (26.8 meters) tall. It splits at the base to form 2 wispy stems. Each stem is brown, and is covered in sharp spines.

It is very slow growing, taking 25 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with green petals and a blood red central disk grow at the top, reappearing once every 5 years. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals in raised layers. It has no scent.

The cactus's skin is thick, the black flesh is sticky, and the green sap is thin.
