Emerald Clump Moss

This green moss is commonly found growing in large clumps On rotten logs, In damp forests, and In bogs.
It is big, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is very delicate; it dislikes being stepped on.
When mature, emerald oval-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release hundred of spores.
