Crimson Heath Moss

This pink-red moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps On rotten logs, On trees, and In heathlands.
It is small, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is very flimsy.
When mature, emerald triangular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release hundred of spores.
