Coppervine
Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 136 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has numerous very thick, wavy stems covered in smooth, copper-coloured bark, and the wood inside is yellow.
The branches are short, rigid and upright with dozens of twigs that and are covered with thick bunches of large, broad, flat, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are generally turquoise, rigid and fuzzy.
In late spring it produces handfuls of giant, slate flowers with oblong petals with a tube-like floral cup. They fall easily and have a fairly strong scent that smells like coconut.
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if it falls or if its limbs are knocked off.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
