Flamevine

Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This short creeper is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 18 feet (5.5 meters)0.

It takes 4 months for the red stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and are rough and woody.

The broad, flat, smooth leaves reach up to 3 inches (8 cm) in length. They are a shade of green that gradient shifts to orange at the top, and have wavy edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces thousands of small pale purple flowers.

The leaves are excellent for making pulp fibers.
Once on fire, it burns very quickly.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
