Crimson Emerald Moss

This red moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In rainy mountain ranges, and In damp forests.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps, and is extremely resilient.
When mature, emerald kidney-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release hundred of spores.
