Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)

This giant fruit tree grows up to 73 feet (22.3 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 47 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a thick, straight trunk covered in thick, rough, silver bark, and inside, the flexible wood is white.

The abundance of branches trail down across the ground and are covered with small bunches of miniature, very narrow and elongated leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are magenta and sky blue.

In early spring, it produces many large, turquoise blossoms with sickle shaped petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They fall easily and have an intensely strong scent that smells like candle wax.

In mid-summer it produces large, spherical fruit. The waxy blood red skin is tough and inedible, and the soft caramel flesh is overwhelmingly bitter and syrupy. The dull red seeds are tiny and are bunched at the bottom of the fruit.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with grassy ground between them.
