Copper Creeper

Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This huge creeper is a slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 2,066 feet (629.7 meters) and growing as high as 406 feet (123.7 meters).

It takes 9 years for the copper stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 1.2 feet (36 cm) and are tough and woody.

The very narrow and elongated, smooth leaves reach up to 2.6 feet (79 cm) in length. They are cream on the edges and beige at the center, and have toothed edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces several small beige flowers, and during the mid-summer, after flowering, it produces a handful of large seed pods.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
