Climbing Redvine

This big vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 177 feet (53.9 meters) and growing as high as 37 feet (11.3 meters).

It takes 12 months for the yellow-green stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 1.6 feet (48 cm) and are rough and woody.

The very thick, smooth leaves reach up to 11 inches (28 cm) in length. They are solid dull red or bronze, with green lines, and have irregular edges.

During late spring, the vine produces balls of average pink flowers, and during the mid-autumn, after flowering, it produces a modest amount of large fruits.
