Copperthorn

This enormous leaf succulent grows up to 136 feet (41.5 meters) tall. The stiff, pointed stem is copper, and is covered in thick sheets of rigid slate spines. The rounded-edged, wide leaves are dark purple and faded orange. Sparse amounts of them grow from the base in a random bunch. The leaves are resistant, but easily come away when pulled.

It is slow growing, taking 27 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with purple petals and a yellow center grows at the top, reappearing once every 8 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 55 petals. It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like meat.

The leaf succulent's skin is nearly impenetrable, the sky blue flesh is rough, and the light brown sap is thin.
