Violet Spotted Succulent

This short leaf succulent grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall. The very thick stem is green, and is dotted with small orange spines. The pointed leaves are either violet or blood red, with turquoise splotches. Sparse amounts of them grow on very thick, gray branches that are long and thin. The leaves are delicate, and easily come away when pulled.

It is fast growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with pastel green petals and a muted blue central disk grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a bowl made up of 20 tightly layered, narrow petals. It has the faintest scent that smells like freshly baked bread.

The leaf succulent's skin is extremely thick, the bronze flesh is smooth, and the aquamarine sap is thin and causes upset stomachs if consumed.
