Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This average-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 30 feet (9.1 meters) and growing as high as 123 feet (37.5 meters).

It takes 9 months for the gray-green stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 5 inches (13 cm) and are rough and prickly.

The perforated, covered in fine hairs leaves reach up to 1.1 feet (33 cm) in length. They are slate and hazel, and have smooth edges.
