Emerald Bog Moss

This lime green moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps In bogs, and In damp forests.
It is big, growing up to 8 inches (20 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is slightly light.
When mature, emerald kidney-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release dozens of spores.
