Burgundy Flame Moss

This burgundy moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In heathlands.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches, and is slightly resilient; it is very difficult to kill.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release hundred of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
