Magenta Blossom Tree

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This small tree grows up to 4 meters (13.1 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 662 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a thick, straight trunk covered in thick, smooth, black with white speckled bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is brown.

The tangled mess of branches are long and thin and are covered with sparse amounts of smooth, huge, stiff, pointed leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are found in orange and amber varieties.

In early spring, it produces many giant, magenta blossoms with long, tapering petals. They are hardy and have a fairly strong scent that smells like a woman.

In late summer it forms small, red, shelled seeds.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
