Burgundy Spire Cactus

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This big cactus grows up to 88 feet (26.8 meters) tall. The perforated stem is burgundy, and is covered in many flexible slate spines. The wedge-shaped body is silver, and is covered in many flexible slate spines.

It is very slow growing, taking 13 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with petals that are either dull blue or cream, with a yellow center grow at the top, reappearing once every 9 years. The flower head is made up of 47 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight tube. It has a delicate scent that smells like mango.

The cactus's skin is thin, the orange flesh is rough, and the sky blue sap is thin.


It is suitable for making paper
Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
