Twisted Arbor
Tree type: Coniferous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This short tree grows up to 3 meters (9.8 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 146 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a stocky, twisting trunk covered in thin, cracked, black bark, and inside, the very hard wood is burgundy.
The numerous branches trail down across the ground, with dozens of twigs covered with handfuls of tiny, yellow-green needles. The needles themselves are sturdy and flexible.
In late summer it produces medium-sized, purple aril (seeds with fleshy covers).
The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if it falls or if its limbs are knocked off.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
