Emerald Blaze Moss

This orange moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In damp forests, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches and they are slow to spread and grow, and is extremely resilient.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release millions of spores.
