Blue Splitfire

This small cactus grows up to 10 feet (3.0 meters) tall. It splits randomly along the body to form 2 stiff, pointed stems. Each stem is moss green, and is dotted with small yellow spines. The spherical body is sky blue, and is covered in hundreds of rigid indigo spines.

It is very fast growing, taking 7 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with alternating petals of pale red and olive, with a violet central disk, grow at the top, reappearing after 5 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of 10 petals in raised layers. It has a strong scent that smells like vanilla.

The cactus's skin is rock-hard, the cream flesh is smooth, and the violet sap is thin.
