Copper Spine Cactus

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This average-sized cactus grows up to 44 feet (13.4 meters) tall. It splits near the top to form 5 pleated stems. Each stem is amber, and is covered in thick bunches of flexible copper spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 4 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are caramel in the center, caramel in the middle and gold at the edges grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of handfuls of petals in raised layers. It has a soft scent that smells like something putrid.

The cactus's skin is extremely thick, the magenta flesh is leathery, and the subtle orange sap is thin.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
The leaves have medicinal properties.
