Bog Emerald Moss
Moss type: MossThis emerald or caramel moss is commonly found growing in giant clumps In bogs.
It is colossal, growing up to 1.2 feet (36 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is slightly delicate; it takes a lot of damage when trodden on.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release dozens of spores.
It is slightly resistant to fire damage.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
