Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Stores water in its leaves)

This small fruit tree grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 29 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, straight trunk covered in thin, waxy, pine-coloured bark, and inside, the light wood is black.

The branches are short stubs and are covered with large amounts of huge, long, narrow leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are either peach, or silver with indigo lines.

In early spring, it produces clusters of large, peach blossoms with 9 cylindrical shaped petals. They fall easily and have a delicate scent that smells like mint.

In mid-autumn it produces , asymmetrical fruit. The waxy beige skin is peel-able and sweet, and the slightly crunchy silver flesh is salty and syrupy. The red seeds are small and are dotted around on the skin of the fruit.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.

The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
It is extremely resistant to fire damage.
