Clinging Conifer

Shrub type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This giant shrub grows up to 14 feet (4.3 meters) tall and lives for around 11 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many sturdy, straight stems covered in delicate, cracked, light brown bark, and the wood inside is burgundy-brown.

The branches trail down to the ground with dozens of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of giant, thick, leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are found in pale red, turquoise and turquoise varieties, durable and clammy.

In late spring it produces copious amounts of medium-sized, indigo blossoms with finger-like petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have a delicate scent that smells like a damp log.

In mid-autumn needle-like fruits ripen. The soft red skin is thick and sweet, and the slightly crunchy silver flesh is sour and dry. The grey seeds are small and are dotted around on the skin of the fruit.

It is possible to grow it from cuttings.
It is very rare outside of a particular area.
It is suitable for making paper
