Emerald Capsule Moss

This brown moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In rainforests, In damp forests, and On rotten logs.
It is big, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches, and is overwhelmingly delicate; it burns easily in strong sunlight.
When mature, emerald kidney-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release dozens of spores.
