Crimson Oasis

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 42 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many thick, wonky stems covered in waxy, burgundy and brown bark, and the wood inside is yellow-brown.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with small amounts of large, pleated, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are either blood red, or dark grey with copper zig-zags, sturdy and crispy.

It produces thick bunches of medium-sized, beige flowers with wide petals. They are hardy and have a soft scent that smells like coconut. In late autumn it forms tinycrimson berries.
