Emerald Clump Moss

This green moss is commonly found growing in large clumps On rotten logs.
It is large, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is very delicate.
When mature, emerald kidney-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release thousands of spores.
