Citrus Willow

This short fruit tree grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall and lives for up to 30 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 71 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, straight trunk covered in wrinkled, light brown bark, and inside, the very light wood is brown.

The branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with copious amounts of giant, very thick leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are either bronze, or lime with pale red lines.

In early spring, it produces large amounts of small, violet blossoms with many layers of petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are very delicate and have a fairly strong scent that smells like citrus.

In late autumn it produces , stiff, pointed fruit. The waxy olive skin is peel-able and spicy, and the crunchy lime flesh is sweet and sour and sticky. The crimson seed is tiny and sits at the end of the fruit.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.
